About the artists:

Jennie Hagevik Bringaker (b. 1978, Oslo, Norway) & Erlend Hogstad (b. 1980, Oslo) were recently part of the 1857-curated exhibition Pattern Drill at Hacienda, Zurich, and has done performances in the Museum of Contemporary Art, Oslo; and the Norwegian Sculpture Biennial 2013. Bringaker is also part of the artist duo Trollkrem, with Tor Erik Bøe, with whom she has recently done performances and projects at the LA Art Book Fair 2015; "The Trollkrem Gospel" at UKS, Oslo; NY Art Book Fair 2014; Kunstnernes Hus, Oslo and OCA, Oslo. Bringaker & Hogstad both live and work in Oslo.

 

Mirak Jamal (b. 1979, Tehran) was included in An Account of Discovery and Wonder... and Conflicting Evidence at 1857. Among other recent and upcoming shows are two exhibitions to come at The Loon, Toronto, as well as early works at Kinderhook & Caracas; Windowlicker at Center; and Deeeee, all in Berlin; not to mention the Arran Gallery, Tehran; Thomas Erben Gallery, New York; the Marrakech Biennale 4; and the 2011111111111s project, which traveled from Berlin to Tokyo. His solo show BRUSSELS, OCT 29TH, 2015 will open on that date at Mon Chéri, Brussels. With Santiago Taccetti he is a founder of an ongoing collaborative project of outdoor exhibitions called Stoneroses. He has lived and worked in Minsk; Cologne; Texas; Minnesota; Toronto; and currently resides in Berlin.
